Zampieri Daniele
Daniele Zampieri graduated in Medicinal Chemistry and Technology at the University of Trieste (1996) where he also obtained a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2001. He subsequently obtained a Master in Drug Development and Design at the University of Pavia in 2004.
Daniele Zampieri is an expert in the design and organic synthesis of "small molecules". His research initially focused on antimicobacterial and antifungal derivatives was then extended to derivatives with neuroprotective activity (sigma ligands and GluN2b inhibitors in collaboration with the University of Pavia, University of Muenster and the University of Catania) but also on compounds with antifibrotic activity in collaboration with the group of Prof. Zacchigna of the ICGEB. His research currently involves the collaboration with Prof. Sara Fortuna for molecular modeling skills.
