Biocristallography of natural and artificial proteins

The crystallographic characterization of HIV protease inhibitor complexes and the related studies of enzyme catalysis using protein crystals are needed to investigate the catalytic mechanism. In this field, biocrystallographic studies of synthetic proteins for the development of new materials, catalysts, and biosensors are also conducted.
