New important recognition for Maurizio Prato, professor of Organic Chemistry at the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Trieste: in the ranking of the best researchers published by Research.com, in the discipline of Materials Science he ranks first in Italy (157th in the world), while in the discipline of Chemistry it is in 2nd place (141st in the world), with a D-Index of 132.

Position in the ranking is determined by each researcher's Discipline-H Index (D-Index), calculated on data collected from multiple sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef, which are the most important and well-known bibliometric databases available.
