(Meeting ID: 373 714 085 967; Passcode: cy6MLJ).

Prof. Aliprandi is an expert in the synthesis of organometallic complexes. His works on the development of self-assembly techniques for these complexes and on the study of their emission properties induced by their aggregation have received international resonance. Alessandro has in fact received an ERC Starting Grant in 2020.

This symposium entitled “Integrating self-assembled nanostructures in protocell design” is the first of a series of symposiums entitled “Bottom-up Design and Synthetic Construction of Life-Like Technologies”. This series of symposiums is funded by Prof. Gobbo's ERC project “PROTOMAT” and aims to promote interdisciplinary scientific discussions between researchers and students in the fields of physical sciences, life sciences and engineering.

Immediately after Prof. Aliprandi's seminar, Dr. Agostino Galanti, Dr. Aina Rebasa Vallverdu and the student Francesco Vicentini will present their research. This second part of the symposium will not be broadcast online, but anyone interested in the research topic will be able to stay in the Aula Magna.

Students and departmental staff, especially from the Organic and Inorganic Chemistry sections (given the topics), are strongly encouraged to wait for the symposium.
